in Sofia, Bulgaria. Piano studies with James Douglass, Andrew Harley, Arkady Aronov,
and Morey
Ritt.
Studies at Vladigerov Convservatory and Mannes College of Music. B.M.
(magna cum laude) and an M.A. from Queens College. D.M.A. in collaborative piano from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Recipient of over a
dozen artistic and academic awards including several Chamber Music Live
awards, the Mark Kyrkostas Award (twice), two Rathaus Family Memorial
Awards, and The Presser Scholarship. First prize winner of Svetoslav Obretinov
Bulgarian National Piano Competition and Dimitar Nenov Bulgarian National
Piano Competition.
Solo and chamber music performances throughout Europe
and the U.S., including on Bulgarian National Television and in the Schola
Grande de San Giovanni Evangelista as a participant at the Venice Piano
Festival. Former faculty, United Nations International School. Adjunct
lecturer, Queens College. Premiere performances of works by Martín Kutnowski,
Michael Capobianco, Jae Hong Lee, James Borgas, Matthew Samorov, and Crystal
Young, among others.
